End of the Week 23rd to 27th

We started this past week with a special guest. Jarad came back to our school and taught us more skills related to Aussie rules football. We learned  to pass back and forth using hand passes and how to kick goals. We have started learning how to write a narrative story called a defeating fear story. This is a story where the main character has to overcome their fear to help someone. Mr Pressey has been using a story called Skeleton Meets the Mummy to learn all of the parts of the story. Then we have been practicing remembering the story and repeating it back using pictures to help us remember. Our goal is to write our own stories and to share them with our kindergarten buddies next month. During Math we have been learning all about place value. We have been exploring how numbers change and some numbers stay the same when we add and subtract different numbers from different place value spots. We also use think boards to help us represent numbers in various ways. Here is a great link
