Hi Room 8,

It was really great talking to some of you yesterday.

Today I am planning on calling the rest of you and letting you know about Razkids and Google Classrooms. I have put one small reading activity on google classrooms.

We are meant to be doing at least one hour a day of school work.

Tuesday's Schedule
20 min of Prodigy
20 min of Raz Kids
For Writing please send me an email through gmail telling me how you are doing. What you have been doing and any questions that you may have.

  • can we help you get in contact with any community supports?
  • what kind of computer access do you have?
  • do you need paper learning packages?
  • do you know your student email and log in information?
  • do you need your passwords reset?
  • do you need help getting onto D2L/ Google Classroom?
  • is your guardian receiving emails?

    Hi Mr. Pressey! My name is Hibba. So I answered all of the questions on the quiz 5.The flag is Japans.The Earth rotates,Kilograms has 3 syllables,10+90+30+80+70+20+8=308,The province is Manitoba,A Kg. of bricks weighs more,The word scramble is giant and the basketball is the heaviest. :)

      Hibba you got almost all of them correct. Take another look at the scales and a kilogram of bricks is actually not heavier, that is a bit of a trick question.

Good morning everyone, I just wanted to remind everyone that we are having our first Google Meet tomorrow at 11 am. If you have not been able to log onto Google Classroom please contact me and I will try to help out however I can. To get onto Google Classroom log onto your student email in the same way that you would get onto Google Docs at school. I should have sent you a class invite. Remember this week we are using Raz Kids for Reading and Prodigy for Math and it would be wonderful if you were practicing your multiplication facts. Grade 3's need to know up to 5 x 5 and the grade 4's need to know up to 7 x 7. We will be using these skills next week when we begin using Google Classroom. Have a great day.

March 15th

March 15 Remember parents please book your parent teacher conference. You can do this by going to https://sis.cbe.ab.ca/public/home.html This week we continued to develop our engineering skills. We were designing our blue prints for our final bridge building activity. We were thinking about how shapes and materials will make our structures stronger. It was also important to think about how we could design using tension and compression. We have been exploring subtraction with regrouping again since it has been a long time and we were having some trouble remembering how to do it. We set a goal of getting 16 out of 32 subtraction regrouping questions correct and we achieved our goal :) Grade 3 Home Practice Grade 4 Home Practice
